Oscars: Best Picture Nominations Predictions

The Oscars are always interesting, since you can speculate on the different categories receiving recognition. I choose to list 10 of the movies I believe have a good chance of getting a nod from The Academy this year, in no particular order.

1. Lincoln

Starring Daniel Day-Lewis in the title role, the movie examines what was happening with the American President as the death toll kept growing during the Civil War and he tried to convince members of his cabinet that it was a good idea to emancipate the slaves. Also starring Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Anne Hathaway Injures Stuntman on Dark Knight Rises

Production on The Dark Knight Rises is in full swing — literally. We haven’t seen or heard much about the movie because director Christopher Nolan runs a tight ship. Joseph Gordon-Levitt Confirmed for The Dark Knight Rises

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has finalized his deal with Warner Bros and director Christopher Nolan to star in the Batman sequel, The Dark Knight Rises. The actor was rumored to have joined the film several months ago after the announcement of Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy’s casting.

Because of his eerie resemblance to the late Heath Ledger, Gordon-Levitt was speculated to be a replacement for his character The Joker. But Nolan put an end to that rumor when he flat out said that The Joker nor The Riddler would appear in the next film.
