Earlier today, soap opera fans from all over let out a huge sigh of relief. The long running daytime dramas All My Children and One Life to Live have been saved! Both shows had been given the axe by ABC a few months ago in an attempt to make room for cheaper programming.
ABC Daytime Chief Brian Frons stated that two new shows called The Chew and The Revolution, would takeover their afternoon slots. They’re both reality shows, which means they’re cheaper to produce for the network. Fans of AMC and OLTL didn’t take this laying down. They protested, emailed, and complained to anyone who would listen and they got their wish — sort of.
