It used to be that the ‘commercial’ time during the Super Bowl broadcast was greatly anticipated due to the new ads. Everyone would be talking about them the next day at work. Now a new trend has become even more interesting and that is, showing brand new movie trailers for upcoming film releases. This year there seems to be a lot of buzz about a few of them. Let us take a look at what was shown last night.

‘The Lone Ranger’ with Johnny Depp. Can’t feel but get excited about this movie, the trailer looked nothing like the original, very modernized, which seems to be the new thing with revivals, like Sherlock Holmes. Johnny is a favorite of mine, and seems to be a lovely guy and is a brilliant actor. Excited for this one. Coming on July 3rd.

Gerard Butler is one of the sexiest actors out there, he is one of those movie stars that makes you want to keep watching anything he’s on… all the time. He has those dark roles and he also does the romantic comedies in which he usually plays the unconventional male character and ends up making you fall in love with him. But it’s not all about the looks with this Scot, he’s well known for his great sense of humor and easy going ways.

Did you know that 21 Jump Street was heading to the big screen? If you didn’t — surprise! The film adaptation of the popular 80s TV show has been in development for over a year with comedian Jonah Hill as the headliner. That’s right, THE Jonah Hill will be running the show. You shouldn’t be too worried because he’ll get plenty of help from several other actors including the one who started it all.

Multiple Oscar nominee and blockbuster king Johnny Depp got his big break in Hollywood when he originally appeared on 21 Jump Street as a fresh faced twenty-something. He played Tom Hanson, a baby-faced undercover cop. Depp may not be as young as he used to be but that won’t stop him from revisiting his roots for the movie.

Walt Disney Pictures has released a new trailer for their upcoming summer blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides. The film marks the return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow and Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa. Unlike the previous three films, the actors won’t be joined by Orlando Bloom or Keira Knightley on their latest adventure.

To help fill the void left by their absence, Oscar winner Penelope Cruz has joined the series, along with veteran actor Ian McShane. They’ll both serve as worthy adversaries to Jack and his latest scheme, which will center on the Fountain of Youth!
