The Chris Stevens death video (watch below) is a horrifying glimpse into the last moments of his life following the attack on the US Embassy in Libya. We have already seen still pictures of him being carried out and brought to the hospital, but the clip brings a whole new element to the story.

The footage shows a group of men carrying what looks like a dead body out, but you can see him breathing a little. You can hear people saying things like:
“I swear, he’s dead.”
“Bring him out, man! Bring him out…”
“The man is alive. Move out of the way. Just bring him out, man.”
“Move, move, he is still alive!”
You can see a bunch of photos of the aftermath over at Daily Mail Online.
This story really disturbed me. Here you have a man who is working to try to bring peace and stability to a region that has had tough time lately. The controversial leader was just killed and it seemed like things could be headed in the right direction.
It all fell apart last week when a group of more than a thousand crazed men with machine guns and grenade launchers decided to storm the embassy building in Benghazi. Most people think the movie “Innocence of Muslims” caused enough outrage in the area to drive these people to attack the building.
The leader of one mid-east militant group commented on the film, saying:
“Those who should be held accountable, punished, prosecuted and boycotted are those directly responsible for this film and those who stand behind them and those who support and protect them, primarily the United States of America…”
It’s all so crazy to me. Obviously in our country we don’t kill people because of movies, regardless of what they stand for.
Anyway, Obama has called for justice and some military forces have been moved into the area.
The Chris Stevens death video and the story of the other Americans who died at the embassy is probably just the beginning, but let’s hope people can find some way to brush off stupid, low-budget videos that offend them. Besides, no one even heard of it until the attack happened.
Watch the Chris Stevens death video for yourself below, and let’s hope some kind of justice can be reached.
