Bambi Dewey (photos below) is the 32-year-old Las Vegas Teacher accused of joining in with her boyfriend for sex with a 16-year-old student. You might not be totally shocked to learn that her boyfriend is also a teacher.
I suppose it’s bad enough when you hear of an adult entrusted with guiding a young person in the classroom being accused of such things. But when there are two involved it just sounds like more of a planned situation.
The accusations state that Dewey and her boyfriend solicited a minor student into having “group sex.” The acts alleged occurred at their Las Vegas home. Both of them face multiple charges related to the accusations. Here is a quick breakdown of what they are charged with:
Bambi is charged with solicitation of a minor for sex.
Stalmach (31-year-old boyfriend) is charged with solicitation of a minor for sex and sexual conduct between a teacher and student.
Apparently there are special charges for someone in a teacher-student position caught having relations.
It turns out that at one point both of the teachers–or soon to be former teachers–worked at the same high school as the student they are accused of being involved with. At the time of the alleged incident, at least one of them worked at the same school as the girl.
What’s the most disturbing to me is that the nasty man in the story actually currently works at an elementary school! I know it sounds sexist, but it’s just a little weird for a young man to be working there in the first place…especially after you see his mug shot (below). I’m sure I’ll catch some comments for that one, but something just doesn’t add up.
Anyway, obviously they will be placed on administrative leave until things are sorted out. At which point they may not be allowed to have contact with minors for years to come.
