After losing his son less than a month ago Sylvester Stallone is about to endue another family heartache. His sister Toni Ann Filiti is battling lung cancer and sadly things are not looking very good at all.
Sly’s half sister Toni is reportedly in critical condition at UCLA hospital. According to the New York Post Filiti has been living with their mother Jackie Stallone in Santa Monica. Jackie revealed that her daughter was rushed to the hospital two weeks ago where is will likely not recover from Stage 4 lung cancer and liver cancer. Sadly the cancer has spread to her brain and as Jackie told the New York Post her daughter is sometimes conscious and responsive. The New York Post further reveals that doctors do not believe that Toni will improve, they have apparently done all they can.
Toni Ann is the daughter of Jackie Stallone and her second husband Tony Filiti. She was born in Philadelphia and has been married twice. Filitti has one son Edmund, from her second marriage. In fact Edmund shared with his grandmother that Sylvester has been very helpful to him throughout his mother’s illness. Just like her famous half brother Toni, who can see a photos of right here, tried her hand at acting but nothing ever really happened with her career. She had a couple of small parts in B films but never reached that A-list status like Sly.
Cancer is a biotch as they say and as Sylvester Stallone deals with the loss of his son Sage he could very well soon be also dealing with the loss of his half-sister Toni. Stallone is currently is Europe with his wife Jennifer and he has yet to speak about his sister’s condition. He made his first appearance since Sage’s death at The Expendable 2 premiere just the other day.
