This one is sure to get some people fired up: a Trayvon Martin death photo was accidentally released online. Even though it’s really hard to see and very grainy, we know it’s the real thing.

The picture was part of a huge document released by prosecutors that includes records and reports. They apparently didn’t mean to include the picture, which is a copy of a picture taken by a neighbor.
If you don’t know by now, Trayvon was the Florida teenager who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in a gated Condominium complex. Oh, and Zimmerman, who chased down Martin and got into a fight with him before opening fire, was not arrested for almost two months because of something in Florida that we call “Stand Your Ground.”
When the case first hit, the only pictures we saw of Trayvon made him seem so harmless and cute. Then came a few pictures later that made him look a little more rough around the edges. The media started to calm down and think about things. This picture of him is not going to calm anybody down, that’s for sure.
Most people don’t think Zimmerman is innocent, they think he is a coward. He chased down a child, got into a fight with him, started to lose, then shot him. No self-defense law can make that right. He is now charged with murder, but most people think he won’t be convicted, which is going to lead to a real firestorm.
But the accidental release of this photo is going to REALLY get things going again. Martin’s parents have already filed lawsuits and starting seeking government money while this thing is being sorted out. I am sure they will go after the prosecutors office for this one. It has to be so traumatizing to them. Who knows if they have even seen it before now?
It’s a picture of a dead child. One who would be alive today if a crazy man would have just let the police come and do their job instead of chasing him down and shooting him.
It makes me sick, but the Trayvon Martin death photo is available over at TSG.
Let’s hope for some kind of justice for this kid and his family.

Punk attacked, punk died…nothing to see here–except some hard to find, real justice.
