Megan Rossee (photos below), Michael Phelps’ girlfriend, is catching some heat now from the media. Of course people would be hating on the gal that has captured the superstar’s heart. But who is she? See some photos below [and learn that they broke up in the update at the bottom.]



When you see a guy who has the most Olympic medals of ANYONE in history, it’s a sure thing that he has women throwing themselves at his feet. He was even seen this weekend partying with a bunch of random girls and a little bag with his medals in it.


But did you know that the blonde he was seen with is far from random? Or that he already has a girlfriend? According to sources, this girl Megan can claim that title.

Rossee is apparently an aspiring model who also waitresses on the side. Sounds like a normal life for someone her age, but she has something very out of the ordinary to brag about.

And some people think that is exactly the problem. Some say that she could be taking advantage of his fame for her own benefit.

A source told RadarOnline:

“However, like any young girl hoping to make it in Hollywood, she’s ambitious and knows that by associating herself with Michael she will get a lot of press herself…She’s desperate for her own fame – her career has been a slow-burner but this will certainly accelerate it.”

It sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me. It would be foolish not to ride the wave and get some publicity as his girlfriend. I’m sure he would feel the same way.

That same source revealed a little bit of how he feels about her:

“Michael adores everything about Megan, she’s athletic, makes him laugh and she’s obviously drop dead gorgeous…Michael is like a puppy dog around Megan – he’s completely in love with her”

The two have been an official couple since January, but now that Phelps is done swimming they are going public with their relationship.

I personally don’t see anything wrong with this picture. I guess it is hard to prove that she is only with him for the name recognition. But if it is just a side effect of dating him then there is nothing wrong with it right?

I guess we will have to see if they stick together after all of the hype dies down. If that ever happens.
