Nobody has ever accused young English women of failing to have a good time. Meet Rachael Claire Martin as she is known to the United Kingdom courts, but known to her friends and colleagues as Rachael Martin, the saucy blond English model wannabe who is accused of pilfering pounds from a bank in order to go on a wild spending spree that enriched the coffers of plastic surgeons lucky enough to have her as a customer.

The news media is reporting that Miss Martin is an aspiring model who needed the money to enhance her chances in the dog eat dog world of fashion modeling. She is accused of stealing the equivalent of about $100,000 U.S. dollars and then spending it on breast augmentation surgery, liposuction on her fatty deposits, and even fixing her teeth.
English girls famously have bad teeth. Nobody knows exactly why that is but my theory is they forgot to chlorinate the water and it may have something to do with inbreeding during the Habsburg dynasty, but that is a history lesson for another occasion. The main point here is that instead of earning the money needed for her brand new glamorous career, she stole it and that is still illegal in England as well as most other places in the world.
Rachael Martin works (umm, make that worked) at the Barclays Bank in Liskeard, England. She plead guilty to several incidents of theft over the course of several weeks, withdrawing small amounts each time that she probably thought would not get noticed. By the time she was caught all of the money was gone, which is the way to go down for the count if you are so inclined to find money the old fashioned way. Pilfering is, after all, the second oldest profession known to women.
As for her biography as a model, we know that Rachael is 24 years old but has the girlish pout look that many of the fashion magazines are looking for these days. She really doesn’t look a day over 16 years old, well, except for her rather impressive boob job. She is a law school graduate who lives in St Austell, Cornwall, which is very near where she worked as a bank teller.
Miss Martin is a single mother of one beautiful child and like many mothers she was looking for a better life for herself and her own child. There are of course legal ways to do it, but with the economy in shambles we will be hearing more stories about what women and men decide to do for their families. There is often only a fine line between saint and sinner.

Update: Poor Rachael has been sentenced to one year in prison. The presiding judge told her, “You are still only 24 years old, you have a long history of medical problems. These problems are clearly things to do with attention seeking as much as anything else.”
We hope that she find the help that she needs.

Hardly… The majority of this money went straight into surgeons pockets and she pretty much left her child to be looked after by far more responsible individuals.
And deleting her twitter profile because it portrayed her in a bad light? I’d say that was the right light. Thief deserves her punishment, shame she wasted $100,000 of our money in doing so and she looks worse than before
