Jilted wives ordinarily don’t have a sense of humor about their husband’s affairs. Elle Zober (photos below) is an unusual woman with an unusual story to tell which involves her ex-husband’s cheating ways and a home for sale in Beaverton, Oregon, which uses his alleged affair as a cause celebre for selling the house.

A quick visit to the website which you can find here shows that she was floored by her story going viral across the internet. She has apparently received a lot of support from women who always wanted to make their hubby’s affair public, and criticism from others who maintain this should be a private matter kept in the closet like good wives should always do. Shame on them!

Elle states that she has her husband’s permission for the sign and that he even paid for half of the expenses. Paid for half a sign? Okay, he must really feel guilty as he should. She discusses how happy she was in marriage before learning about the affair which she describes this way:

All I can is that as soon as your husband/wife starts using new texts languages like :/, or starts talking to you like a college kid…. check your phone bill. You’re probably going to be in for a surprise. For me that surprise came in the form of a 22 year old college student who likes yoga… and, other people’s husbands.

Ouch. That must have been some sting, and through it all Ms. Zober has maintained her good sense of humor and apparently a working relationship with that ex-husband. And that is a good thing because the couple have two children, a boy and a girl. We all know that the most important thing in a breakup for the mental health of children is to maintain as close to a normal relationship as possible with your ex, no matter how you truly feel about him or her.

Elle Zober is a professional photographer who specializes in photography of babies and children. She is currently living in Beaverton Oregon (although not for long if the sale goes through) with her two beautiful children where she has resided with her husband since 2000.

Elle lived in Glasgow Scotland for some time, and attended art school in London, England, but maintains that she learned everything that she needed to know about the art from her journalism teacher in high school. Go figure. Her work has been featured in several magazines around the world, books and even CD covers in the music world. And yet it is her work on a home for sale sign that seems to have gotten the most attention of her career. Hardly seems fitting but that is life I suppose.
