The ink has hardly dried on her divorce papers with ex-husband Bruce Boxleitner, but already Thierry Gauchet (photos below) has filled the void as the love interest beside her in bed with wedding bells in the air. Meet the swashbuckling French pistol who has scored a huge touchdown as Melissa Gilbert’s boyfriend and quite possibly her future husband.

We hear reports that her friends are afraid that she will tie the knot with the French playboy too soon. They believe the two might get married later in July when she visits her lover in France once again. My view is who needs friends casting doubts like this by talking to the media? They cannot be true friends, and at almost 50 years old and still looking so darn good, Melissa is a big girl who can take care of her own love business.
So who is Thierry Gauchet besides the lucky man who has stolen one of my favorite childhood actress’ heart? Far from being a celebrity or sports star or other untrustworthy man in the limelight, he is a working guy which I find so endearing for her just as if she had rode into town on pa’s horse and buggy to marry one of those schoolhouse boys.
Thierry is 6 years her junior at age 42. He works for a large classic car dealership based in the romantic capitol city of Paris, France. The name of his company is PGA Motors, where he works as the Finance Director responsible for an annual budget over $1 billion dollars. Prior to this gig he was a regional manager for another auto company called Santander which is located in the gorgeous area of Champagne-Ardennes, Picardy. One look at Mr. Gauchet’s Facebook page will tell you what might have attracted her attention at first. Viewers are met with a picture of the handsome hunk shirtless standing in front of what he knows best, a car of course. Check it out here. Besides his hot new girlfriend and passion for cars, Thierry is hugely into horse racing as a sponsor, something he apparently started doing in 2009 but now his horses are racing on practically a weekly basis this summer. They had just had dinner so you get a taste in the video of how annoying it must be to date a celebrity with paparazzi bothering her with questions nobody should really care about.
