Donna Asutaitis is a high class hooker nabbed for not paying taxes. Really is it fair when prostitution is illegal? How can she pay taxes on money that was made illegally? Shouldn’t she be punished for hookin’ instead of tax fraud?

When Donna Asutaitis began working as an escort it was to help pay her college tuition. Money was tight and as most of us know, working the average job won’t pay the bills never mind tuition.

Donna is a beautiful girl, she has long legs, a slender figure and blonde hair. She worked for herself out of her flat and began making very good money. Very good. The 22 year old was able to purchase a luxury flat for £360,000. She put down £110,000 in cash and obtained a mortgage for £250,000 meaning she lied about her employment claiming to be a racehorse consultant. She was paid for her sexual relationships with wealthy businessmen who lavished her with cash and jewelry.

It is unclear as to how her job was discovered, but when police raided her home in 2007 they found £72,000 in cash, and the second time, in 2010, they found £8,350 in cash in her flat and another £50,000 in a safe deposit box.

It is believed that she made over £3,000 a week and charged up to £1,000 a night. A grand total is thought to be in the range of £300,000 in two years. A judge decided she needs to pay taxes on £120,000 and a court will rule how much Donna must pay this November. Asutaitis will serve 16 months of jail time and is said to suffer from depression and insomnia. Her parents are said to be extremely embarrassed and disappointed.

Judge Peter Testar said she had deliberately avoided paying tax.
“The amount of tax which is subject to this charge which has been evaded is £120,000.In my judgment this was an offense that was fraudulent from the outset carried out over a significant period of time.”

Readers of the Daily Mail, who first wrote about Donna Asutaitis, are wondering how she is being punished for both prostitution and tax evasion. Prostitution is illegal and she should be jailed for that, but how can they prove hoe much she should pay, and how can she pay taxes on an illegal occupation?

Donna has since dropped out of the Masters program she was enrolled in. How sad. I sure hope that is something she sticks to, it may be the one thing worth holding onto from this experience. Her hard work should pay for something! On a side note, could this be her twitter?
