Sixteen-year-old Grace Dillman from Hamilton Court, Ohio is a student at Veritas Academy in Worthington. She was reportedly just thirteen when she met her 20-year-old boyfriend Robert Best online. He is from Washington state and a student at a college in Cleveland.

Her father Alan Dillman never approved their relationship, and according to police Grace was plotting a horrific plan to stop her dad from intruding into her relationship with Best, not just for a while, but forever. They say that Grace planned for Best to break into her parents’ bedroom and slit their throats in their sleep. She had supposedly been planning this act for over a month.

According to media reports Dillman turned off the alarm at her home so her boyfriend could get inside undetected. She was reportedly holding a flashlight and told Best to hurry up before her father woke up. He was holding a kitchen knife in his hand, but it was during this first few seconds that Mr. Dillman heard them whispering and woke up.

Both men reportedly fought, one for his life, the other to keep the crazed teenage girl he loved happy and forever by his side. He was reportedly able to stab Alan in the back but Mrs. Dillman was able to grab the weapon and call cops to her home. They arrested both Grace and Robert.

Robert Best has been charged with aggravated, attempted murder and felony assault. He is been held at Franklin County jail under a $500.000 bond, while Grace Dillman who is a juvenile was charged with attempted murder. Her father Allan Dillman is in stable condition and is expected to fully recover. Media reported that while Best is cooperating with the investigation and showed remorse, Grace has not.
