The United States Olympic Volleyball team counts on some spectacular players on their team. One of these females stars is Alisha Glass and it is this talented young woman whose biography we prepared for you!

24-year-old Alisha Rebecca Glass was born on April 5, 1988 in Leland, Michigan to Laurie Glass, who was her volleyball coach at Leland High School in Michigan. Lelash, her nickname, enrolled at Penn State University in 2006. She graduated from Penn with a Major in kinesiology with a minor in human development and family studies.

Her volleyball achievements began ever since she was in high school. She was part of the team that participated at the NORCECA Games in 2004 in Puerto Rico taking home the gold medal. That same year the Detroit Press included her name in their top 25 volleyball players.

The following year Ms. Glass was part of the 2005 US Youth National A2 Team and USA Red squad at the HP Championships in Texas. Oh yeah, they took another gold medal home. You go girl!

In 2006 she was named Miss Volleyball for the state of Michigan, Miss Gatorade Player Of that year. She was on a roll!!!

At Penn State she made it into the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, was awarded Penn State Classic Most Valuable Player, Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week, and Big Ten Player of the Week. She played at the Texas Invitational All-Tournament Team. In 2007 her sophomore year at Penn, Alisha was one of the players at the AVCA First Team All-Mideast Region, NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team, First Team All-Big Ten plus she was named Sports Imports/AVCA National and Big Ten Player of the Week.

As a junior, once again she was named AVCA National Player of the Week, Big Ten Player of the Week, and played at the Chicago Classic All-Tournament Team, NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team, AVCA First Team All-America, AVCA First Team All-Mideast Regional.

Am I near over with Alisha Glass? Not a chance! We are going internationally now as part of the Olympic team which she joined in 2009. Check this out.

She played at the 2010 FIVB World Championship placing fourth, then to the Brazil Tour in Aracatuba, Sao Paulo, where her team won the gold medal at the FIVB World Grand Prix, Bronze at Pan American Cup and participated at the Tour of China.

Last year, she and the Olympic team won the silver medal at the FIVB World Cup, gold medals at the NORCECA Championship and FIVB World Grand Prix, plus bronze medal at the Pan American Cup. And last but not least she ended in fourth place at the Montreux Volley Masters. On September Alishe signed an endorsement deal with Mizuno USA, INC.

One suggestion. Keep your eyes on this amazing young volleyball ball player Alisha Glass, not just she is just picture perfect but because she is unbelievable!!!!
