IPhones are certainly cool gadgets, but would you killed someone if thy broke yours? Probably you wouldn’t, but that is allegedly not the case for Jasmine Diaz who police say ran over her boyfriend Frankie Hernandez because he shattered hers.

Frankie Hernandez was just a seventeen year-old young man from the Bronx in New York. He was surrounded by the love of his family including his siblings and mother. It was his mother Iris Hernandez who rushed to the streets after hearing yelling and tires screeching outside her apartment on Morris Avenue, but she never expected to see the horrible scene that was waiting for her outside. The lifeless body of her son lay in a pool of blood. He was not moving because his head was crushed!!
“I ran down to the street and it was too late. His head was crushed. He wasn’t moving. There was blood everywhere.”
His killer was allegedly his girlfriend, 25 year-old Jasmine Diaz, who reportedly knew him since they were children. Sometimes she would be his baby-sitter. The young couple had been dating for over a year but sources close to them said they had a volatile relationship. According to the late teen’s family it was an abusive one too. They say she would hit him constantly and that Jasmine struggled with some anger management issues that worsened when she drank.
Ms. Diaz was driving her Lincoln Navigator when she reportedly got into a heated argument with Frankie who accidentally dropped her iPhone. It broke and that apparently ticked her off. He tried to explained it was an accident but she wouldn’t hear any of his apologies. She was reportedly in a rage.
Diaz reportedly jumped to the front of her car and drove off but as she did that she ran over her boyfriend’s body body, killing him instantly.
She drove to her mom’s house a few blocks from the scene. It was there that one of Mr.Hernandez’s siblings chased her and overheard her yelling that she hit her boyfriend. It was also there that police found her and ultimately arrested her.

A photo of Jasmine Diaz was released today by local media during her arraignment. She is being held without bail and faces charges on first degree manslaughter. She screamed angrily in court when she was taken away from the courtroom.
Frankie’s family said Diaz didn’t just run over his body once, but twice. They are grieving and upset as you can imagine.
