This is the second story we have written in as many months in which a prominent person has been sued by a lover who contracted HIV. The first was a bisexual politician who allegedly gave it to his girlfriend, and now have the gay lover of Clive Barker. Boyfriend Emilian David Armstrong says in a blockbuster court document that the famous horror film writer and producer is not a very responsible guy.

He says that the two began shacking up over fifteen years ago way back in 1996. They had had a brief romancing period which quickly led to hanky panky and sharing a bed together as man and man. The interview below (see video) in which he discussed “brutal intimacy” was given at the time they were still together right after the diagnosis. And yes, he sounds like a WWE wrestler on steroids. Come to think of it 15 years ago was not that long ago in the history of the AIDs epidemic. It was well known by then that unprotected sex was a suicide mission, so if Emilian David Armstrong’s allegations are true that he contracted HIV from his famous boyfriend, he has quite a bit of the responsibility on his own shoulders it seems to me. Well that may be too strong. At least a tiny bit, and for sure this is a good lesson for all to be responsible partners.

Of course we don’t know the details of what went on between them. I’m sure some people lie about such things, but in my own hetero experience playing the field back then I always took new partners down to planned parenthood for a check. Not very romantic I know. Call my paranoid, but call me responsible if you do. And for gay sex, get a clue people otherwise you might as well hold a revolver up to your forehead for sexual pleasure.

Back to our story, the lawsuit has been a long time coming like a slow motion train wreck. Emilian was diagnosed in 1996 shortly after they began sleeping together. He says they tried to work things out, may or may not have been business partners, and he may have been promised a lot of potential business profits. We are trying to find biographical information on Emilian David Armstrong who is mentioned as a photographer living in Los Angeles with Clive in this old article.
