We love the Olsen twins. The only person in the world who reportedly loves them more is Olivier Sarkozy, who according to sources has divided and conquered in a matter of speaking. He is reported to be Mary-Kate Olsen’s boyfriend, thus laying claim to bagging one-half of the most desirable twins in the world.

He happens to be a VIP worthy of the challenge as former French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s brother. And he is catching her at a good time in both of their lives. She broke up with a regular-guy named Nate Lowman two years ago, and to our knowledge this would be her first serious relationship since, which he split from his wife Charlotte Sarkozy last year. Among friends he goes by “Oliver Sarkozy” which is certainly easier to spell in American English, but his birth name is Olivier.
Although his brother is more famous, quite possibly Olivier Sarkozy is more wealthy. Residing in New York now, he is a managing director for a worldwide financial company called the Carlyle Group, which in business circles is just about as cool as you can get. He is a high financier with a background in the classics which means he can pay the bills and have intelligent conversations at the same time.
Olivier graduated from the University of St Andrews in England with a degree in medieval history, and also has a degree from Yale. That means he knows all about palace intrigue and sex scandals from the olden days before the Enlightenment liberated mankind from sexual taboos. He is quite literally worldly in the sense that he has lived all over the world. Born in France, he has lived in Africa and England at various times in his life, and now the United States. He is indeed a swashbuckling Renaissance man worthy of the best women in the world. What exactly Mary-Kate Olsen’s boyfriend talks about with her is anyone’s guess, but she will look pretty by his side if the rumors are true. He can also speak French in her ear as you can see in the video below. How cool is that?
He comes from a complicated family background as well, since Sarkozy (the famous one) is only his half-brother. Olivier was divorced from his wife Charlotte Sarkozy (picture below) in 2011 after a contentious battle in the courts, unfortunately for their children exposed in tabloids to the public. The have two kids who are both teenagers now. She is a beautiful and sophisticated woman of letters, a children’s author of considerable reputation. In reality they seem like an odd couple assuming the rumors are true at all. If so she is probably just his rebound girl, but we can hope for the best for Olivier Sarkozy and Mary-Kate.
