Angelina Jolie most definitely received the larger engagement ring from fiance Brad Pitt but did she receive the nicer or prettiest ring?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie went public with their engagement last Friday just days after she was spotted wearing her large diamond ring on her left hand. It appears quite larger in carat size than the ring Brad gave to Jen several years ago, but is it prettier?
In 1999, Brad gave Jennifer Aniston a gorgeous diamond and platinum engagement ring that he designed with Sylvia Damiani, a famous Hollywood jeweler. The setting featured a round brilliant stone surrounded by different diamonds circling around the main stone, was valued at the time at around $500,000.
Pitt also co-designed Jolie’s engagement along with Robert Procop. This time he went with a different cut of diamond entirely known as an emerald cut. Though it is currently unknown how many carats Angelina’s ring is it appears that the main diamond is quite large and also features cut stones on each side of the main diamond. The jeweler has confirmed that it was designed specifically to her small fingers and is of the highest quality.
It was cut to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina’s hand. Angelina’s ring took over a year to design. Angelina’s ring is said to be valued at a fraction of Jennifer’s ring at $250,000.
