Rainey Qualley is gorgeous! But that’s really no surprise, since she is Andie MacDowell’s daughter. Her father is former model and actor Paul Qualley. Those are some mighty fine genes right there! Today, the beautiful brunette was named Miss Golden Globe 2012. Congratulations!

Earlier today, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association introduced 21-year-old Rainey as Miss Golden Globe during a news conference held at Cecconi’s restaurant in Hollywood. How was she chosen, you ask? It has been a longstanding tradition that a Miss Golden Globe is a child of a celebrity. MacDowell has previously been nominated for a GG several times. She was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Actress in the 1989 film “Sex, Lies, and Videotape”, in the 1990 comedy “Green Card” and in the 1994 film, “Four Weddings and a Funeral”.

Gia Mantegna, Joe Mantegna’s daughter, Mavis Spencer, Alfre Woodard’s daughter and Rumer Willis, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughter are just a few of the many who have held the honor in the past.

Rainey said in a statement, “I am honored to be selected as the 2012 Miss Golden Globe. It’s very exciting to be a part of an awards show like the Golden Globes so early on in my career.”

Andie MacDowell’s daughter is an aspiring musician and actress. In fact, she recently wrapped up filming “Mighty Fine”, her acting debut, which co-stars her mother and Chazz Palminteri. MacDowell told the Daily Mail in October, “In (Mighty Fine), I’m married to a man who’s bipolar and takes it out on our daughter, and I don’t protect her. The role was very demanding, very abusive. What my daughter went through makes me cringe.” So far a release date has not been set.

Ms. Qualley was recently named to PEOPLE Magazine’s Most Beautiful 2011 – Hollywood’s Next Generation Beauties. That she is, a beauty! You can see a photo of Rainey with her Mom here. What did I tell you? Gorgeous!

Nominations will be announced next Thursday, December 15, and the awards will air Sunday, January 15th on NBC, with Ricky Gervais returning as host.
