Kim Kardashian West confirmed she has lost more than 70 pounds. She also opened up about the weight loss and fitness secrets that have enabled her transformation since giving birth to her second child Saint West.

The 35-year-old ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star has flaunted her weight loss for months on social media — in her typical break-the-Internet fashion. She’s embarked on her second post-pregnancy weight loss after giving birth to her son with husband Kanye West.

But until now, we’ve been left to speculate exactly how many pounds she has lost. She told E!News, “I feel like I reached my goal for sure.” She went on to say, “I’ve been doing the Atkins diet, which worked for me…this time I think I’m almost at 70 [pounds] down.”

Elaborating, “So I’ve recently gone into extra gear, just staying more focused. You do get comfortable and then you start to get off track a little bit but I’ve kind of like pumped it up a little bit, just started to stay focused and follow the Atkins diet again. I feel like I lost another last few pounds that I really had to lose so that makes me happy.”

As the celebrity watching world knows, she partnered with Atkins, and followed the iconic weight loss company’s new Atkins 40 Plan. And, as People reports she ate a daily diet of 1,800 calories.

Giving us a glimpse of her day to day menu, Kardashian told the celebrity news outlet, “We eat a lot of fish and turkey.”

Elaborating, she added, “It’s a full modified thing. I worked with them in them sending me their snack stuff. And there would be this trail mix with M&M chocolates with peanuts, so there was stuff that makes it you feel like you can live. And not like super restricted to anything.”

She also admitted she had a relapse back in May and went off the plan temporarily. Explaining the circumstances, she said, “I started going to Disneyland and taking my kids and eating Churros and all that really crappy stuff that I love.”

She went on to speak of her remorse, saying, “But then you feel so s—– after you eat it, when you’ve been doing so good.”

It goes to show that “cheating” on the diet is just like cheating at anything else. Despite all the chatter about how “cheat days” can help you stay focused, truthfully for the majority of people, they can be derailing.

Well, for Kardashian West, it wasn’t a complete disaster as she got back on track. She said that after resuming the strict diet and, importantly, the workouts — hitting the gym at 6 in the morning no less — she was able to, in her words, lose nine pounds “instantly.”

She also revealed that her sister, Khloe Kardashian has been her inspiration. As fans know Khloe Kardashian has become quite the role model of late with her devotion to fitness, and a bestselling book to boot. She said of her sibling that she is her “body icon,” adding, “She’s never been more on fire.”

The results, as she’s been sharing on social media have been quite stunning. Sure she has her detractors, but regardless, weight loss for anyone, celebrity or otherwise, still requires discipline and hard work.
