Charlize Theron is stunning on the red carpet in a one-shoulder LBD at the L.A. premiere of ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War.’ The Oscar-winning actress turned heads and, as photos and video reveal, it’s no wonder.
Yes, the 40-year-old Charlize Theron has proven once again, that she’s just as stunning now as she was, say a year ago, when she was in her 30s. So much is made over an actress growing older, and with her alluring little black dress and creative accessories, she was an unforgettable presence, among the stars and celebrities attending the L.A. premiere of ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’ at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, California. It’s the sequel to ”Snow White and the Huntsman’ and she reprises her role as the evil Queen Ravenna.
She succeeded in drawing a majority of attention away from the likes of Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, Jessica Chastain, and Emily Blunt among others. The one-shoulder pencil dress is classic and chic and she carries it off with her svelte physique. The sheer fabric is decorated with what, from a distance looks like jewels, but in the closeup photos, these are actually tiny insects. Yes, downright Gothic, and she pulls it off beautifully.
Last year, as there was the usual hubbub about the milestone birthday, she shared her thoughts on aging, in an interview with E!News, saying, “Forties rock. People are so concerned for me. It’s okay. It’s such a weird thing that we put so much – I think especially for women.” She added, “I’m so happy to be in my 40s and to not be in my 20s, like worried about whether I fit into my skinny jeans and whether I’ll be able to get in that club.”
Now this year, she’s gotten a bit of flack for saying in a recent British GQ interview, “Jobs with real gravitas go to people that are physically right for them and that’s the end of the story.” And for those who didn’t quit get the point she was making, she spelled it out, saying, “How many roles are out there for the gorgeous, f—-ing, gown-wearing eight-foot model? When meaty roles come through, I’ve been in the room and pretty people get turned away first.”
So yes, she soldiers on! She did effectively make the point, after all, with her Oscar-winning role in ‘Monster,’ making a physical transformation that’s still talked about. Years later, her career is in full swing as it’s been announced that she’s joining the cast of ‘Fast and Furious 8. She’s drawn acclaim for her role in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ as well.
