It’s just the latest of exciting reunion performances of classic bands. Just recently Smashing Pumpkins surprised the world when they reunited with guitarist James Iha for the first time since 2000, also in L.A.

Now this time around all eyes were on the classic lineup of Guns N Roses as they took to the stage at the iconic Troubadour in L.A. And yes, it’s been a long, long time; 23 years ago, way back in the mid-1990s in the days before Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and the like to document the moment.

As Billboard reported, the Friday night, April 1, concert was announced just hours before showtime as a complete surprise and it was not an April Fool’s Day prank. Ticket prices were an astonishing ten dollars.

According to Rolling Stone attendees were not permitted to take photos and video but, wouldn’t you know, there were a few who were defiant and thus, the rest of the world is able to glimpse what took place that night. The publication further reports that Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagane were joined on stage by keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer along with the band’s first-ever female bandmate, keyboardist Melissa Reese.

And this is just the beginning as the reunited classic lineup are embarking on the highly anticipated Not in This Lifetime tour which will take them. You can see the full itinerary below, along with the setlist.
