The 33-year-old ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star has been back promoting her bestselling book, ‘Strong Looks Better Naked’ and she made a stop at the familiar daytime TV talk show and spoke with co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan.

As for the dramatic weight loss, she reveals that it’s just the final result that’s “dramatic,” not her weight loss process which has been gradual over months and even years. Now, that she’s reached an ideal weight, in retrospect the before-and-after pictures are remarkable.

Khloe Kardasian spoke about her weight loss, and the book that’s arisen from it — and now, the reality TV series. She said, “I was asked so many times how do you get through things with such a positive attitude? How do you lose the weight? How do you do x, y, and z and it’s a little bit of how spiritually I got stronger, physically and emotionally. And if my words could help even just one person, then that’s what it’s all about.”

She said of getting acclimated to working out, “It’s discouraging. For the first two months, I’m like I am sweating. I’m bust my ass and I’m tired and you don’t notice anything. Obviously, something’s going to happen. But your body takes a minute for that change to show.”

She added, “The tortoise wins the race and that’s what I do and I want to do it forever.”

Yes, and kudos for setting a great example and for taking a stand against crash diets and quick fixes that fuel the multi-billion dollar industry. Even the book title with “strong” instead of “skinny” is the proverbial breath of fresh air in this day in age in which too many are still risking harm in trying to attain impossible and cruel standards of beauty and thinness.

Along with giving the latest scoop on her weight loss success, Khloe Kardashian also opened up about her estranged husband, former NBA star Lamar Odom. Months later after that medical emergency, he’s in recovery, having left the hospital. Much has changed since those early days in which his own survival was uncertain.

She says of his recovery that he’s “doing great.” In elaborating, she said, “It’s such a relief. It was terrifying and scary. No one knew it’s going to happen.”

She went on to give an update on his physical condition and said, “What’s crazy is us because he’s an athlete and having worked out every single day, he wasn’t even walking three weeks ago. And now he’s walking. We were able to leave — he was able to walk out of the hospital and it was such a great thing, you know. You get strolled on in there. He didn’t even know where he was and then he’s able to walk out on his own.

Continuing, she added, “So I’m so happy for him and how he’s trying and he’s really making great strides and that’s a testament to his own will and desire to get better.”
