Selena Gomez is the stalker in her new and sultry ‘Hands to Myself’ music video. The lingerie-clad pop music superstar shares the screen with a shirtless and chiseled object of obsession, portrayed by Christopher Mason, and it’s getting quite a buzz. But has she gone too far this time?

The 23-year-old former Disney star, continues to flex her grown-up pop music recording artist wings and she just dropped the highly anticipated music video exclusively on Apple Music and you can see it below. It’s the latest single from ‘Revival’ and, as with many of the other songs on the album, it pushes her further into the racy landscape we’ve come to know as pop music. When stellar vocals and lyrics are not enough, we know that artists will take us into these sultry music videos which naturally get talked about.

Pushing the envelop these days is the standard. One just has to go far enough to not get banned by the likes of VEVO or YouTube — or, should that happen, no worries! Suddenly the newer, “clean” version becomes its replacement. And, the publicity coup is priceless.

Well, what better way to get attention during the Christmas holiday week than to dangle some black lingerie and a hunky co-star. And throw in a dark and foreboding theme — after all, obsession and stalking to the point of prison is getting a bit over the edge. And in real life, we’ve seen more than a few celebrities fall victim to such stalkers who invade their homes.

Directed by Alex Keshishian this is exactly what the viewer sees in a film noir-like mini-movie as Selena Gomez invades the fictitious actor’s home, and finds her way into his bedroom. Yes, home invasion was never so sexy!

It’s working and the music video is going viral. Not least, it’s drawing a lot of attention to Christopher Mason, a model who, E!News revealed, also appeared in Demi Lovato’s music video for ‘”Here We Go Again.’ But that was a long time ago, 2009 to be precise. A few years later both of these former Disney child stars are headlong into edgy themes.
