We’ve had the final North American concert of 1D and now as the band moves towards hiatus, this was the absolute final U.S. performance, at least of this year and at least until the hiatus is over. Directioners took full notice on social media.

The four remaining members of One Direction — Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson – -now months after the departure of Zayn Malik are soon going to disperse, for the hiatus but before that, they made their first ever appearance in the annual holiday tradition, the KIIS-FM Jingle Ball series of concerts in the U.S.

Underscoring the momentous occasion at the Staple Center in Los Angeles, as MTV reports, Harry Styles told the audience, “This show is very important to us because it’s the last time we’ll be performing together in America for a while.”

He went on to say, “Our job for the next 23 minutes is to entertain you.” And with that, the band delivered a six-song set.

In an interview with People before the concert, band members opened up about their plans for the new year and their New Year’s resolutions. Liam Payne said, “I’m going to try and give up smoking, which is hard, but I do want to.” He went on to add, “I want to. It’s about time. Need to grow up now.”

Not long thereafter, he found some support and encouragement on social media as the hashtag #YouCanDoItLiam began to trend on Twitter. As always, any glimpse into the future plans of the four members of 1D as they take their hiatus are instantly going viral!

While Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson declined to mention any resolutions, Nial Horan spoke up and said, “I’m going to train, succeed in the gym this year. I always do it when I’m on tour and then when I get home, I’m crap.” Continuing, he added, “Yeah, I would like to succeed properly and get the job done.”

And for the last time in the U.S. this year, the band delivered a crowd pleasing performance. Here’s the full set-list:
