Adele has premiered a new song from her ’25’ album, ‘When We Were Young’ with a stunning music video that showcases her live performance of the somber, evocative ballad. It’s gone viral, needless to say, and you can see it right here.

With each new song, it’s a cause for celebration. Adele has surprised us once again, first with a teaser clip of her live performance that originally had its debut on the 60 Minutes Australia Web site. From there, it quickly went viral and the usual frenzy ensued as a new song from the long awaited ’25’ album was now out in the digital world.

Now the entire video is out, and the performance in full is an absolute thrill. The multi-Grammy winning British singer-songwriter extraordinaire is at her finest, and her most soulful. The words are tearjerkers. She sings us such lines as “Let me photograph you in this life, in case it is the last time. Later, she sings, “We were sad of getting old / It made us restless.”

The new video was filmed at The Church Studios in London, which is where Adele recorded her ’25’ album. We watch from start to finish as Adele and her backup singers and band assemble for the performance. And what a performance. You’ll want to put this one on repeat just like ‘Hello.’

She spoke about the song in a recent interview on Sirius XM, according to ET saying in part, It was based on us being older, and being at a party at this house, and seeing everyone that you’ve ever fallen out with, everyone that you’ve ever loved, everyone that you’ve never loved, and stuff like that, where you can’t find the time to be in each other lives.” She went on to say, “And you’re all thrown together at this party when you’re like 50, and it doesn’t matter and you have so much fun and you feel like you’re 15 again. So that’s the kind of vibe of it really.”

It’s a contrast from the highly cinematic ‘Hello’ music video — from Canadian director, Xavier Doland with co-star Tristan Wilds — which, in our current measuring parameters, pretty much broke the Internet as it easily obliterated the VEVO 24-hour viewing record, far eclipsing the record that Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ had held, as it racked up a staggering 27.7 million views.

Now we’ve got another music video, and needless to say, if a record is broken, this one will do the breaking. Or if not this one another from the ’25’ album.
