Funny man Jonah Hill is heading back to the silver screen and this time he’s bringing children. The actor and comedian stars in the upcoming comedy The Sitter, which is a mix of Adventures in Babysitting and Superbad. Even though it sounds like a dangerous combination, it might be a hilarious treat.

The first trailer for The Sitter has been released and its green band. A red band version, which was filled with curse words was previously released but it’s too harsh for young ears. Check out the general audience approved trailer for The Sitter below.

Opening in theaters on December 9, the comedy follows a college student (Hill), suspended for the semester and living back at home with his single mom, who has a night to remember when he gets talked into baby-sitting the eccentric kids next door — two boys and a wild 8-year-old girl.

The movie co-stars Jonah Hill, Sam Rockwell, Max Records, Kevin Hernandez, Landry Bender, J.B. Smoove and Method Man.

We’re not sure how well the movie will play in theaters considering its release date. The film is scheduled to open in early December, which is during holiday season. Who wants to watch a movie about mean spirited children and a fouled mouth twenty something during the season of giving? It might be a hard sell.

The only redeeming factor the flick may have is the casting of Sam Rockwell. It doesn’t matter what he stars in, whether its Cowboys & Aliens or Charlie’s Angels, he can turn a bomb into magic. He’s a very charismatic actor and we’re interested in seeing what he brings to the role. After watching the trailer for The Sitter will you fork over your hard earned money to see it? The Sitter opens in theaters everywhere December 9, 2011.
