Taylor Swift dressed up as Olaf and Idina Menzel as ‘Elsa the Snow Queen from ‘Frozen’ on Halloween night as they performed ‘Let It Go’ at the ‘1989’ concert in Tampa, Florida. Photos and video which you can see here are going viral as the pop music superstar did not disappoint — to say the very least! — in her last U.S. concert of the world tour.
It was quite a visual on Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Taylor Swift as the talking snowman Olaf from Disney’s animated mega-hit ‘Frozen.’ But lest the poor fellow be out there on the stage alone, along comes Else the Snow Queen, portrayed by none other than Idina Menzel who was her voice in the movie. And thus on Halloween night, for the fans who choose Taylor Swift over trick-or-treating, this was quite a treat! A win-win-win not just to hear that now iconic song, but with a bit of musical theater at that.
There have been so many luminaries joining Taylor Swift on the stage, including Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Justin Timberlake, Alanis Morissette, Selena Gomez, Leona Lewis, Miranda Lambert, and Ellen DeGeneres among many others. Yes, it’s an epic list! The 1989 Tour has been quite an adventure for concertgoers with all these surprise appearances. And now, in joining all the other memorable moments that have been captured in viral video and Instagram perpetuity we can add Idina Menzel and Else the Snow Queen.
And for North America, Taylor Swift’s Halloween surprise came on the very last concert of the North American leg of the tour. Now fans will follow along as she heads to Asia for the next leg, with appearances in Singapore and later, Shanghai, China. And next for Swift it’s off to Australia for the final leg as the tour wraps in December, with a Christmas extravaganza, no doubt.
