Justin Bieber opened up about his love life, saying that he has not been in a relationship because he got his “heart broken.” It’s just one of many admissions in a candid interview which is going viral, and which you can hear right here what he had to say on the Australian radio show “Kyle And Jackie O.”

On virtually the same day that Justin Bieber landed his first No. 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with his new single ‘What Do You Mean,’ he also opened up and spoke with candor on relationships and heartbreak.

While there has been so much speculation on his love life — how many rumored girlfriends has he had; they must number into the dozens by now! — he confirmed that he is single.

The titular hosts of the KIIS 1065 Australia’s “Kyle And Jackie O” radio show broached the topic by asking him whom he might be bringing with him when he performs later this month in Sydney Harbour.

He said “I’m doing a lot of stuff by myself,” and he went on to add, “I haven’t been in a relationship for a while now.””

When host Kyle asked him why he would want to be in a relationship — alluding, of course, to the pop music superstar lifestyleand all that it could entail — Justin Bieber said, “I’m a relationship type of guy. I love to be in love, love cuddling. I love all that stuff.”

He didn’t leave it at that. He then said, quite plainly, as you’ll hear below, “I got my heart broken. I’m just trying to let that heal up.”

This led host Jackie O to try to get him to talk about Selena Gomez. This led him to retort, “Let’s not even go there.” But she didn’t stop there, of course. She asked him about the much-discussed image of him in the ‘Where Are You Now?’ video which sees him alongside the name “Selena” emblazoned, graffiti-style on the wall. He said of it, “I think that might be fake” and he added that it was “not me that did that.”

He went on to speak on other topics, including his Calvin Klein underwear ads, and he was even asked to weigh in on Kanye West declaring he’s running for president in 2020. Yes, in many ways, just one of many, many interviews he’s given lately, but this time, the raw candor, and the palpable emotional pain in his voice has led this one to go viral.
