It’s arguably one of the biggest hits of the summer, Walk the Moon’s Shut up and Dance. If you’re not familiar with either, it’s understandable if you might confuse the band’s name with the song title. After all it could just as easily be a hit song, Walk the Moon by a band called Shut up and Dance!

But it was instead Taylor Swift inviting the band and they all had a fine singalong of this summer smash hit which somehow seems perfect for our social media era.

Sometimes we just have to stop all the chatter and the trolling and just hit the dance floor!

And it was an exciting moment in Boston at Gillette Stadium. Taylor Swift continues her longstanding tradition of surprising audiences by inviting guests on stage whether they be fellow music artists or celebrities or sometimes a combination of both.

And thankfully, we do have YouTube video and Instagram pics so we can, after the fact, share in on the fun. And once again, Taylor Swift is the talk of social media.

But then again, when is Taylor Swift not the talk of social media we have to ask. Of late she has taken Apple to task over their music streaming service, and got them to cave, then she’s in an epic Twitter feud with Nicki Minaj, for which she apologized.

But this time around, there’s no drama, there’s no multi-billion dollar corporation, no scandal, no boyfriend or dating rumors. Just pure fun on stage!

After the concert, the pop music superstar herself documented the moment with an Instagram pic which you can see below, captioned, ““Thanks @WALKTHEMOONband for surprising the Boston crowd with ‘Shut Up and Dance’!!! 60,000 person dance party.”
