Justin Bieber talks about his bad behavior in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily magazine while also saying that he will “never apologize for being human.” He also opened up about how he feels about the social media backlash he’s been subjected to, and spoke with enthusiasm about his forays into the fashion world. and His comments, as is typical, have gone viral, as he continues to try to come to grips with his past and move forward.
The 21-year-old teen pop music idol had quite the public meltdown complete with an arrest and multiple legal entanglements, to say nothing of a dissolving relationship with fellow pop music superstar Selena Gomez. As the meltdown played out in public, so too, fittingly, does the rehabilitation.
In one of many such interviews, Justin Bieber opens up about his behavior in the inoculously titled article, ‘Justin Bieber Talks Calvin Klein in Hong Kong.’ As the article explains he was in the iconic city as a brand ambassador for the fashion label where he was to deliver a special performance for a launch event.
While the focus of the article was fashion and his forays into the fashion world, notably in a series of ads for Calvin Klein underwear which have seen more than a bit of mockery, the subject of Justin Bieber the reformed bad boy is never far away. He said, “People wanted me to apologize, which I don’t know if it’s really fair. I’ll definitely take responsibility… as I’m growing but I’ll never apologize for being human and making mistakes.”
He continued, saying, ““I think that that’s just part of growing and living and becoming a man or a woman. It’s been a cool learning process.”
As for his current life, Justin Bieber said, “I’m really happy where I am right now, that’s for sure…. Take a second to, like, step back and evaluate the situation and think, ‘Okay, that might not be true,’ or just give me the benefit of the doubt. That’s all I ask.”
He weighed in on the backlash he has received for months now on social media, even as he himself has stayed out of trouble and out of the tabloids. He told WWD, ““It’s all perception of how you take it in… If you, like, get satisfaction from the love, you’re gonna die by the hate. [I] use it like a platform for me to reach out to people and that’s it. Not use it for validation or something like that.”
He also shared his passion for fashion, and all but said with certainty he will have his own fashion line. He told the publication, “I haven’t lost that passion. It’s just such a big deal….I just want to make sure it’s perfect and right and take my time with it. I know Kanye [West] has been working on his stuff for years and failed and came back and tried again and failed. It’s about trial and error and I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet.”
He also said, “Just being recognized by the fashion world in such a way so far has been awesome.” He continued, saying, “I’m excited to venture into a new lane….Really new and something I’ve always really liked, but now I’m just moving forward into that direction.”
