Cobie Smulders graces the cover of Women’s Health Magazine and reveals her post-baby body in a daring photo without her shirt just months after giving birth to her second child. In the interview, the former ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star speaks about her confidence in her body.
The 33-year-old actress reprises her role as Maria Hill in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and she walked the red carpet in the recent premiere, dazzling the crowd with her svelte post-baby-body figure. With husband actor Taram Killam she gave birth to a baby son in January, their second child as they also have a five-year-old daughter.
But on the cover of Women’s Health magazine, she took it a step further, as she posed wearing nothing but her Daisy Duke style cutoff blue jean shorts.
While Cobie Smulders did not reveal her diet and weight loss tips she did tell the publication how she felt about doing that daring cover. She said, “It was my first topless photo shoot where I wasn’t trying to appear ‘sexy’, which was interesting.” She went on to add, “Because it’s a women’s magazine, I feel like being topless is more about being confident and about being happy with your body rather than trying to excite somebody else. That’s what this cover was more about.”
She rose to fame portraying Robin Scherbatsky in the hit CBS sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and has since gone on to big screen success. From her vantage point, she spoke about the industry and offered advice for newcomers, saying “Just chill the F out, when you’re young, you’re so worried. I think I was in such a rush to grow up.”
She went on to say, “I think it’s also the film industry; you’re always trying to be established and trying get to the next level.”
She reflected upon her own journey and said of it, “‘I feel like I should’ve just chilled out, gone back to college for four years and just hung out. Or traveled around the world or something. Just not work so hard.”
She continued saying, ‘But then, it also got me to where I am today, so it’s a double-edged sword. But I think I could’ve probably mellowed out more.’
She also talked about “Avengers Age of Ultron,” and said, “I love doing these films. I love working with all of the characters. They have just such amazing people coming in and doing these roles now.”
And fortunately, for fans, she’s also continuing as Maria Hill in the Marvel hit television series, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” as has been recently announced.
