P.J. Masten is a former Playboy Bunny who has come forward to claim that Bill Cosby raped her in the late 1970s and that she knows 12 other former Playboy Bunnies raped or sexually assaulted by the comedy icon. She is one of a steadily rising number of women who have made similar allegations.

P.J. Masten spoke with CNN’s Alisyn Camerota in an on-camera interview about her experience which, as noted, dates back to the late 1970s when she was employed at the Playboy Club in Chicago.

She explained in the interview that she had met Bill Cosby at the club and that she had had first a lunch date and then a dinner date with him. For the latter, he told her to meet him at his hotel room and that there were four other people in the room. It was there that he offered her a drink.

She claimed that she woke up at four in the morning. She said, “”I woke up in a bed naked, bruised. He was laying next to me, and I slithered out of the bed… I got myself together, I went downstairs, I got in a cab, and I went home.” She went on to say, “There were bruise marks all over me. I knew I was raped.”

She further said that there are “12 former bunnies that I know of that are ashamed to come forward, frightened to come forward, married with families (and) don’t want to come forward. But they were also drugged and raped by Bill Cosby.’

Masten went on to say she had reported the alleged incident to her supervisor at the Playboy Club. “”She said to me, ‘You know that’s [Playboy founder Hugh Hefner] best friend, right?’ “I said, ‘Yes.’ She said, ‘Well, nobody is going to believe you. I suggest you keep your mouth shut.'”

In recent days, two other former Playboy Bunnies have come forward. Carla Ferrigno, wife of ‘The Incredible Hulk’ star Lou Ferrigno, said that Cosby had attempted to sexually assault her in 1967. She was 19 years old and working at the Playboy Club in L.A. Victoria Valentino also came forward and spoke of having been sexually assaulted in the 1960s

Also, Judy Huth has brought a lawsuit against Bill Cosby for an alleged sexual assault that took place at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion when she was 17 years old. This was the impetus for P.J. Masten to come forward and tell her story.

CNN noted that neither Playboy Enterprises nor Bill Cosby or his lawyers had commented on these allegations at the time of the initial broadcast of the story.
