Brandi Hobbs is a high school teacher in Ohio who has been arrested and charged several felonies including sexual battery for alleged sexual misconduct with two students. The arrest was made after a six-month investigation.
Brandi Hobbs (mugshot photo above) is a teacher at the Swiss Hill Vocational School. The school is in the Switzerland of Ohio School District in Monroe County, Ohio, which is located in the southeastern border of the state, near Wheeling, West Virginia.
According to WTOV 0 a six-month investigation was begun in March of this year into allegations of Hobbs’ improper conduct was conducted jointly by the Monroe County’s Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio BCI, and the Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the school superintendent, when the school district was notified of the investigation of tf Hobbs’ alleged “professional misconduct involving students” she was “relieved of her duties immediately.”
It is alleged that there are two victims and both are students.
Brandi Hobbs was arrested and booked into Columbiana County Jail. According to 7 News, she was charged with several felonies which include one count of sexual battery, two counts of disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile, one count of illegal use of a minor in a matter involving nudity, and one count of pandering of sexual material involving a minor.
In a follow-up story WTOP 9 reports that during he first court appearance, Hobbs pleaded not guilty and bond was set at $25,000. She is barred from participating in social media as one of the conditions of bond.
