Doris Holloway is a teacher in North Carolina who has been arrested for allegedly assaulting two autistic students. It is alleged that the incidents were caught on surveillance video. She faces assault charges.
The 57-year-old Doris Holloway (mugshot photo above) is a teacher in Cumberland County Schools at at Glendale Acres Elementary School where she teaches kindergarten and first and second grade. She is a resident of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
According to WNCN quoting the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office she was arrested for the alleged assault of two autistic students. Both of the alleged victims are males, one is seven years old, the other is nine years old. The younger boy is unable to speak.
Surveillance video from May 7 allegedly shows Holloway lifting the seven-year-old boy off the ground. Witnesses allege that she picked up the boy by his shirt and pulled him into a classroom where he then fell into a desk.
On the same day, surveillance video also allegedly shows her with the second alleged victim, the nine-year-old, twisting his arm.
Doris Holloway was arrested, booked into Cumberland County Detention Center and charged with two counts of assault on a handicapped person. She was released and is due in court on September 10.
