Lori Ann Hill is a teacher in Oklahoma who was arrested on her first day of school at a new job when she was found allegedly drunk and with no pants on in the classroom. What began as a local story has gone international.
The 49-year-old Lori Ann Hill (mugshot photo above) was hired as a special education teacher at Wagoner County High School in Wagoner, Oklahoma.
According to Digitaljournal.com, it is alleged that when school district officials found Lori Ann Hill in one of the school classrooms she was not wearing pants.
School officials took her to the office and then notified police telling them that Hill seemed to be “disoriented.” Hill allegedly told the police who arrived at the scene that she had been drinking. Police searched her car and found an empty cup which is alleged to have smelled of vodka.
The newspaper quotes Police Chief Bob Haley who said, “She was found in a room kind of disoriented. By the time we got there she was in a room and wearing shorts. Haley went on to note that there wasn’t enough evidence or for a DUI charge as there were no ‘credible witnesses.’
However Hill was arrested and booked into Wagoner City Jail on suspicion of public intoxication.
No additional details on Lori Ann Hill’s bio and professional background were reported. There is also, as of yet, no report as to her current employment status with the school district.
As noted the story has traveled far beyond Oklahoma due to the unusual circumstances which, of course, make it ready-made for much commentary.
