Perhaps by now we are conditioned to expect the unexpected from Beyonce. Yet still, in the midst of the On the Run Tour with Jay Z and the flurry of infidelity and divorce rumors that dog the couple, yet another surprise.

Again, just to reiterate, we must expect the unexpected. And yet at the same time, we witness marketing genius at work. Literally capitalizing on the unexpected and surely embarrassing leaked surveillance video that revealed Solange Knowles physically attacking Jay Z in the elevator at Standard Hotel after the Met Gala in May.

Typically with a remix it’s the featured artist who makes a song edgier or even controversial. And Nicki Minaj, her featured artist, has herself drawn much attention leading up to the release of her own album. It’s the typical playbook of grabbing attention with provocative costumes, staging, semi-nudity and such.

No, Nicki Minaj is not exactly tame on the remix as she proclaims herself “the queen of rap slaying with queen Bey” and spits such lines as “Winning is my motherf–king protocol / ‘Cuz I score before I ever throw the ball.”

But still Beyonce steals the show with the lines: “Of course sometimes sh*t go down when it’s a billion dollars on the elevator.”

After a long silence, followed by an official statement from the family, followed by Solange Knowles very brief comments in a recent interview, this is the latest we’ve heard “officially” from one of the parties involved. For his part, Jay Z has not spoken out other than via the aforementioned statement. It builds anticipation. What kind of rap lyric might the event inspire?

In the meantime, the social media is abuzz with the ‘Flawless’ remix which you can hear in its entirety below!
