Chrystal Miller is a former teacher in Texas who has been arrested and charged for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old male student as well as exchanging phone and Facebook messages with him.
The 33-year-old Chrystal Miller (mugshot photo above) was a teacher in Abbott, Texas. She resigned her job with the Abbott Independent School district when police began an investigation of the allegations against her.
According to the Waco Tribune, quoting an official spokesperson from the Hill County Sheriff’s Office, it was the mother of the alleged victim, a 14-year-old boy, who notified police authorities after she showed him Facebook messages he had received from Miller.
As a part of the investigation warrants on Miller’s Facebook account and cell phone were issued and deputies obtained evidence. They also interviewed the alleged victim.
The Hill County Sheriff’s Office arrested Chrystal Miller and she was booked into Hill County Jail. She was charged with improper relationship between an educator and a student, indecency of a child and on-line solicitation of a minor. After posting bail she was released.
The newspaper quotes Hill County Chief Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Wilson who spoke about the dynamics involved in the alleged improper relationship. He said that Miller “had really groomed [the alleged victim] over the course of a year” and added, “It wasn’t until the end of that time that it became physical.” In commenting upon the how the alleged victim had been impacted by what is alleged to have occured the deputy also said, ““Once it become physical, that’s when he started having problems. He became very withdrawn, very quiet, and he just wasn’t himself. His parents noticed that.”
No additional details of Chrystal Miller’s bio and teaching history, were reported, other than her former position with the Abbott Independent School district.
