Helen Banks is a teacher in Arkansas who has been arrested and charged with sexual assault for alleged inappropriate contact and communication with a 16-year-old female student.
The 57-year-old Helen Banks (mugshot photo above) is a teacher at Drew Central High School in Monticello, Arkansas and is also a resident of the town.
According to ArkansasMatters.com quoting official police sources, allegations surfaced of Helen Banks’ alleged inappropriate contact and communication with the alleged victim, a 16-year-old female student at the high school.
The alleged victim told authorities that Banks had touched her on “numerous occasions” in her “private areas” and she also said that Banks had kissed her and that they were in constant email contact with each other.
According to The Advance-Monticellonian, Banks was interviewed by authorities and admitted the allegations. She was arrested by officers from the Drew County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police and booked into the Drew County Detention Facility. She was charged with a felony, second degree sexual assault and she was later released on bond. The newspaper goes on to report that the official charges have not yet been made by the prosecutor.
As for additional details of Helen Banks’ bio and professional background, according to the Drew Central School District’s official Web site she is a 10th grade English teacher at at Drew Central High School.
