Alec Baldwin was arrested in New York City for illegal biking and disorderly conduct. The arrest on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan was captured in photos and in the aftermath, the former ’30 Rock’ star has taken to Twitter to vent.
This time it was In Touch Weekly which broke the story with photos to reveal what had happened. The actor has a long history of losing his temper, most notably with paparazzi. This time, while the cameras of paparazzi caught the arrest, his fury this time was allegedly unleashed upon the police.
According to the magazine, it all began when NYPD officers stopped Alec Baldwin when they observed him riding his bicycle in the wrong direction on Fifth Avenue near 16th Street. According to their source he became “belligerent” when police asked him for ID, as he did not have his ID on him. He was then arrested for disorderly conduct. He received two summons, for the illegal biking as well as for the disorderly conduct and he was then released.
While much searched for, there is no indication that there is an Alec Baldwin mugshot. However, there are photos of his confrontation and arrest by the police which you can see at In Touch Weekly here and TMZ here.
Later, Alec Baldwin took to Twitter to express his displeasure over the situation. He began Tweeting by calling out the name of the arresting officer and as well as the paparazzi, saying: “Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave” and “Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing.”
And in another Tweet he editorialized: “New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign.”
