Forbes has released their latest celebrity power list and this time it focuses on Hollywood’s leading ladies. As if the Average person didn’t have enough stress on their plate. Let’s find out what stars and starlets are bringing in an ungodly amount of money. Some of the women listed may come as a surprise, while others have been mainstays for years.

Does an Oscar have an effect on how much money you earn or is box office clout the main ingredient? Find out below.

Check out the top 10 highest grossing actresses below:

1. Angelina Jolie – $30million (tie with)

1. Sarah Jessica Parker – $30million

3. Jennifer Aniston – $28million (tie with)

3. Reese Witherspoon – $28million

5. Julia Roberts – $20million (tie with)

5. Kristen Stewart – $20million

7. Katherine Heigl – $19million

8. Cameron Diaz – $18million

9. Sandra Bullock – $15million

10. Meryl Streep – $10million

Half of the women on the list are Oscar winners (Streep, Bullock, Roberts, Witherspoon, Jolie), while the others are best known for their box office clout. Sarah Jessica Parker has become the go to actress for comedies about independent women, while Katherine Heigl has dominated the romantic-comedy genre for the past three years.

Meryl Streep is arguably the most talented and revered actress on the list, yet she comes in a number 10. It’s probably because of her choice of projects that tend to be more character driven than superficial. She’ll do something like Mamma Mia every once in a while, but she tends to stick to the hard stuff.

It’s great that so many women are raking in the dough in Hollywood, but there’s still a huge pay gap between men and women in the industry. And on top of that, there are several key ladies missing from this list i.e. Natalie Portman, who won an Oscar and headlined the surprise hit Black Swan last year. What about Marion Cotillard for her work in Inception? So many questions.

Who do you think is missing from the list?
