Yes, Miley Cyrus is at it again. With the holiday season in full swing she got into the spirit by twerking on Santa Claus live on stage as she performed at the 102.7 KIIS-FM’s Jingle Ball 2013 in L.A. at the Staples Center. If predictable, it was still pure Miley!

The recently turned 21-year-old pop star stole yet more attention for herself in a live performance. After her surprise performance at the AMAs with a giant crying cat, she returned to familiar twerking territory.

Yes, the dance moves were the same, but this time, the “twerkee” was Santa Claus, portrayed by her friend Cheyne Thomas lest anyone think this was a Kris Kringle scandal for the tabloids or a St. Nicholas controversy brewing just as the jolly one is soon to make an annual worldwide trek with the usual reindeer-powered sleigh.

The former Hannah Montana herself Tweeted ahead of the performance: Bad Santa 🎅 #KISSJingleBall ❄️❄️⛄️🎄 along with the picture above. Her accomplice in full red-suited regalia as she, alongside in a characteristically skimpy interpretation of festive attire glistening with red sequins.

As for the song that Miley Cyrus christened with the holiday-themed twerking, it was “#GETITRIGHT” from her Bangerz album, the first live performance of the track.

Although they did not perform together, she did reunite with Robin Thicke — in photos at least — for the first time since the infamous MTV VMAs performance. The two were photographed backstage as both were performers at the Jingle Ball this year.

That same night, also in Los Angeles, at the Nokia Theater, the 2014 Grammy nominations were announced and saw Miley Cyrus surprisingly shut out; not even ‘Wrecking Ball,’ a notably powerful ballad (especially when heard without the distraction of the literal wrecking ball and its naked rider) got a nod for Song of the Year. Her other single, ‘We Can’t Stop’ would have also been eligible, although not the album, which was released after the eligibility period for the 56th Grammys.

While the Grammy snub may rage on as yet another controversy, Miley Cyrus took to the stage to twerk once more — and no doubt not for the last time. After Santa Claus, one does wonder who is next? Video is below!
