Production on The Dark Knight Rises is in full swing — literally. We haven’t seen or heard much about the movie because director Christopher Nolan runs a tight ship. He doesn’t want anything about the story to get out unless he does it himself. But for the most part the script is top secret and the public stays in the dark (pun intended).
Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway will play the coveted role of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in the film, a role that was previously played by Halle Berry, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Lee Meriwether on the big screen. A lot of Batman fans were wondering if Hathaway would be on board in name only, meaning she’ll play the character but won’t have the butt-kicking persona she’s known for. Well, good news folks — she will!
According to Digital Spy, Anne Hathaway recently injured a stuntman, while the two were acting out a fight. “Anne got a bit carried away during a fight scene and mistakenly shoved the butt of the gun right into the actor’s eye socket,” a source explained. “He came away with a massive black eye – Anne was mortified.” The incident was bad for the stuntman but good for Catwoman fans.
Knowing that Hathaway is doing fight choreography means that she won’t be a passive character. Catwoman has always been a formidable foe for Batman because of multiple reasons. One of them being their similarities. She’s a loner who prefers to work at night and she also has a thing for black latex.
Selina Kyle is more than just your average villain. She’s a love interest. Bruce Wayne is in love with her and Batman is in love with Catwoman. They know they’re no good for each other but they can’t stay away. They’re extracurricular activities always come to ahead. We can’t wait to see what Hathaway and Christian Bale do when they’re in a scene together.
