VH1 is about to return to greatness. For the past decade the network and its sister channel MTV have become shadows of their former selves. If you miss the good old days, you’re in luck, one iconic series is returning to VH1Pop Up Video!

Pop Up Video was one of the staple shows on the network that featured music videos with quirky facts. According to Entertainment Weekly, VH1 has revived the series after a decade-long absence. It’s time to make fun of dated artists again, are you ready?

Pop Up Video has been off the air for 10 years and it’s finally returning to us! The show represented everything we loved about old school VH1; it was fun, light, and it had MUSIC! That’s a big one. The network only seems to play music if it’s between 2 am – 6 am in the morning. What happened to the days when videos were one of the most anticipated forms of entertainment?

Since the show has been missing in action for so long, a couple updates have been made. As you might suspect, they’re library of music videos has grown. Instead of focusing on vintage pop and rock artists, hip hop will also be covered on the show. Have you ever had a question about an old Diddy video? Watch the revamped show and you might get your answer.

Pop Up Video is set to debut this fall, with 60 new episodes (that’s a tall order). Also, the usual pop up bubbles that deliver the hilarious commentary will also feature user submitted info and jokes. Therefore, the show will have a new interactive quality. It will be like commenting on YouTube videos but without the lame arguments that go nowhere.
